vintage correspondace

I am forever in awe of the scrawling beauty of handwriting of days past. I recently acquired a vintage collection of over 300 post cards, all ranging from the 1940s to the mid 1960s, and most with fancy handwriting that tells of both exotic and domestic travels. My favorite of the bunch is this is a card that carries





My favorite of the bunch is this card from Niagara Falls, torn into 8 pieces and taped back together.  It boasts an inscription that suggests Niagara Falls as a possible honeymoon destination.



  Can you feel the drama? Maybe this is the postcard from a former lover, Woody H, sending a sarcastic message via this little souvenir.  Possibly this couple in question hit a rough patch, but made up in time to take that romantic visit to Niagara Falls.
